HR Department
The management office of Region Uppsala is part of Region Uppsala, one of the largest employers in Uppsala County. The management office is led by the regional director and consists of approximately one thousand employees. With a governing, supportive, and coordinating role, the management office is tasked with supporting the political leadership and administrations so that the political direction is reflected in the region's various activities. In this way, Region Uppsala can fulfill its role, both regionally and nationally.

Our Operations
The HR department at the regional office works on behalf of the regional management and is responsible for overarching strategic HR work in Region Uppsala. The task is to develop and provide qualitative and operational HR support based on the employer policy strategy.
The HR center is part of the HR department and has about 30 employees. Our main tasks are to work consultatively and service-oriented with payroll administration, pension processing, and to manage and develop Region Uppsala's HR systems. In the payroll unit, we handle over 16,000 salaries every month and ensure that the correct salary is paid out on time.
Your Assignment
As a payroll consultant, you will work broadly with the entire payroll process in close collaboration with specific operations within Region Uppsala. This includes supporting the operations in payroll matters concerning, for example; employment, compensation, and absence. You will handle salaries for employees with regular or irregular working hours, on-call duty, and standby. The work also includes some contact with various authorities. As a payroll consultant, you will have the opportunity to participate in various projects and other operational development working groups.
Your Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has at least completed a high school education. You also have an advanced education in the payroll area or several years of experience working as a payroll consultant or equivalent, as assessed relevant by the employer.
It is advantageous if you have knowledge of the collective agreement General Provisions and if you have previously worked with Heroma.

You have the interest, willingness, and ability to help others and are keen on delivering solutions. You easily adapt to changing circumstances and see opportunities in changes and can handle a periodically high workload.
You contribute to a positive work climate, create contacts, and maintain relationships. You adapt the way you convey your message to the recipient. You are pedagogical in both your oral and written communication and express yourself well in Swedish, both spoken and written.
As a person, you are a calm and methodical problem solver who easily collaborates with others and has a high degree of patience. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
